Seafood lovers in Singapore now have even more reason to rejoice as Fremantle Seafood Market launched a brand new menu showcasing the amazing freshness and variety of the Australian harbor and the culinary creativity of its new Chef de Cuisine, Ter Ming Yuan.

“Fremantle has always been famous for its fresh seafood,” said Chef Ming Yuan, “but it’s what you do with it that matters most. We want to showcase the culinary diversity of Australia here at FSM so we’ve included a lot of delightful surprises in our new menu.” Indeed FSM’s menu now ranges from old favourites such as the Atlantic Cod Fish and Chips to exciting new creations such as Live Dungeness Crab in a creamy, tangy and absolutely delicious Mustard Sauce. Other new signatures include Grilled Crimson Sea Perch, wrapped in a fragrant Japanese magnolia leaf and infused with wood smoke; Whole Lobster Thermidor with a rich coat of hollandaise, mushroom cream and white wine; and crispy Scottish Salmon Fish & Chips, a twist on the original. “You don’t see salmon in fish & chips very often but paired with my batter I dare anyone to tell me it’s not a winner!” said Chef Ming Yuan with a smile.

With so much to offer in its brand new menu, Fremantle Seafood Market is guaranteed to delight the palate of any seafood aficionado and a must visit for any seafood lover worth his salt.

Bistro Soori

Bistro Soori
Bistro Soori 2 Teck Lim Road Singapore 088385 T. +65 6438 3802
(Near Outram/Tanjong Pagar)

I fell in love with this place. G booked under reservation for my bday dinner. AM always glad for G. Never fails to put a smile on my face. For as long as I have known G, my days nv felt loney and down. Everyday is like RAINBOWSDAYS. I wonder why. :) But anyway, this place is perfect for fine dinning. A hidden, informal restaurant with a small open kitchen and a few tables, ensuring you to feel comfy when dining. Very different from those high ends restaurant. If you’re one of those people that likes to watch their food prepared, the bar counter is just the place for you.

We had starter for Angel Hair Pasta ( No pic)

Cold Marinated Angel Hair Pasta, Avruga Roe, Seaweed

Slow Roasted Pork Belly, Pumpkin, Frisse, Pumpkin Seed, Yuzu Gastrique

The roasted pork belly was awesome! The best I've tasted thus far. We were very very impressed with the starter. It kinda keeps us going on to crave for more towards the mains for the night. Very tender texture, once you bite, the meat literally melts in your mouth. It's a 'must order'! The perfect balance between the salty flavor from the roasted pork and the overflowing sweetness from the pumpkin, leave us into major satisfaction.

Brown Butter Lobster, Fennel, Tomato, Tamarind, Thai Basil

Deliciously grilled on the outside, the lobster was fork-tender as it should be. However, I thought it was not as juicy as it could be. The sauce on the other hand was creamy and it blends really well with the lobster. I thought perhaps the tomato taste kinda covers up the original taste of mains. But overall in my opinion, this dish is not filling to the tummy. I was still hungry after finishing my portion. So I guess, if you are hungry you might wanna consider ordering other mains, so as to keep you full.

Cured Roasted Pork Tenderloin, Braised Red Cabbage, Grain Mustard, GoldenRaisin, Pear.

It was an explosion of flavors in the mouth. It was so good. Tender and refreshing. Every element of the dish worked together: the taste of the pork, the soury taste that was blasting from the mixtures of the fruits kinda balance up the overall feel. Oh my, the sauce. The sauce was extraordinary. I do no know how it was form, but overall it was good. I still prefer the starter ( Slow Roasted Pork Belly) though.

Araguani Dark Chocolate Cake, Raspberry Sauce, Vanilla Ice Cream

Overall, it was truly an awesome night not forgetting my pressie! Finally lay hands on my Giant City - Part time! Am so over the moon. I guess that would be my everyday-wear till the next one comes. Alrighty, Dec is round the corner. Counting down for christmas I suppose. Buying of presents next week... Oh the long lists . . . . . ..  Blessed week ahead people! God Bless.

SWEET NO-VAIN-BERRRR

So..... I haven't been updating my blog as often as I thought I would. Have been pretty busy with the web recently and I would not deny the fact that it was really 'so not easy'. Just by managing the web itself was ..... feel so tired and I do not knw why. My life seems be on a dim roller coaster mode the entire mth. My interest in writing and sharing kinda died, unfortunately. But am still active via instagram. Many food posts over @EILEENXM , so if you think this space is ZERO updates, might as well follow me over @ insta for more updates and junk inspirations in between. :) finger cross xx.

Ok but sweet Nov is here! Like finally here. Birthday in a few days time and I have yet any plans in mind. As you grow older, the mind slowly turns dumb. Any gd recommendation anyone ? Pls share pls share with me.. ^^  Not trying to be cheesy but as the verse says, time kinda passes so quickly.. In another mth's time, it'll be Christmas. Like seriously..ZERO INTEREST! I need to get back on track, oh lord. Paying that the season of dryness will zoom past quickly. Well, will be flying next mth ( haha like again..) with the girls to de-stress alittle. But I guess I will try to plan a short get-away this mth, hopefully to find back my soul. I will be back! Will be!
