HAWKER FOOD HIGHLIGHTS

Choose Life or Love.
Eliza Lee, 22, is not only a fresh graduate who studied at a top secondary school, she is also from a wealthy family and used to be chauffeured home from school. Despite her background, she chose to marry a chicken rice seller. ( quoted web)
Miss Lee's mindset is rare among Singaporean women her age. Most university graduates would not consider marrying a blue-collar worker. His partner affirmed this by saying he has experienced his fair share of snobbery from ex-girlfriends, and says that women like his fiance are rare. ( quoted web)

"Hats off to Eliza Lee for following her heart. The modern-thinking 22-year-old may be a graduate from a wealthy family, but that has not stopped her from choosing to marry a 32-year-old chicken rice seller. ( quoted web)
I thought this article was fab so g and I went down to try out their chicken rice and noodle. Indeed they did not disappoint us. Chicken was tender and their roast pork was just tasty enough. I prefer chicken rice to be softer therefore they caught my tastebud in a way. But g prefer the rice to be dry.

Tampines St 43, Blk 475, Koufu Food Court

This place serve both Bak Kut Teh and Peranakan style curry fish head. The curry is very fragrant and appetisingly sour. Topped with fresh brinjals, tomatoes and lady fingers. It came as a surprise when I saw the boss serving us the curry fish head in a plate instead of a claypot style. I'm sorry I did not have a picture of the curry fishhead, but promise to post the next round.

Bak Kut Teh's soup was not too satly, and their ribs are just way too juicy. I wonder what's their secret recipe on brewing their ribs to such tenderness texture. If you are heading down to give it a try, you may wish to also order their side dishes. Many offerings for you to choose on. And yes, carpark lots might be an issue, area location is also not very big. So go earlier to miss having to wait.

Ji De Chi dessert shop is famous for their ice-shaved. Their snow ice will always be shaved into thin folds, allowing every mouthful to be filled with flavours. However, I reckon other desserts in their menu are pretty tasty too! It was a random choice on ordering their cheecheong fan that night. But turns out pretty good. Durian with pomelo is a must-try! In fact I use to frequent Ah Chew until I tried out JDC and thought it was worth visting. Ah Chew specialises on their hot dessert menu while JDC has got more variety on cold desserts.
